CASology #234: Youth

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is youth.  I decided to pull out these adorable little mice from MFT--don't they make a cute children's marching band?  This is going into my kid's birthday card stash.

Now it's your turn.  How does YOUTH inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Hello

I've had this card sitting on my desk and almost forgot to post it.  It's already too late for one of the challenges I had planned--Just us Girls color challenge, but not too late for the others.

I used the spinner card instructions from Make it Monday #273 and a very old stamp and die set from Heart 2 Heart.

Part of the sentiment is stamped inside the card, and you can see it through the window when the card is closed.

I am also linking this card up at CAS on Sunday #100: Hearts, Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #226: Anything Goes.

Time Out #75...Reminder...Happy Retirement

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a CASE challenge, and we have this beautiful card by Ksenija to inspire us.

Ksenija's inspiration card

I was inspired by the delicate green branches with touches of red, Ksenija's light grey background with tone on tone stamping echoing her focal point, and her overall design.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Marjan, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Happy LIttle Stampers  is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

PTI January 2017 Blog Hop...Love

I am happy to be playing along with the PTI January Blog Hop today.  I was inspired by the cookie in the middle, as it looked just like one of my favorite Fillable Frames die.

I used Garden Grace flowers and leaves and a die cut word love to decorate a black fillable frame die cut.  I added a few dots with a white gel pen.  It looked a little plain on top of a plain black card base, so I added more Garden Grace flowers.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #226: Anything Goes and Paper Players #328:  Clean and Simple Flowers.

I'm keeping it short today as there is so much to see on the hop.

CASology #233: Glisten

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is glisten.  I thought of snowflakes glisten, and used WOS to add a shimmery glisten to my die cut snowflakes.  I used a Poppystamps die that Marybeth lent me when we got together this summer. I only used the upper left corner of the die cut, to keep things simple.

Now it's your turn.  How does GLISTEN  inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

I am also linking this card over at Poppystamps Challenge #28:  Silent Snowflakes.

Birthday and Sympathy

I have a blue and yellow flower card for The Flower Challenge #4.  I used PTI Forget Me Not stamps and dies.

I really liked the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #204, so used it again for this card I made to practice my Copic coloring.

My last card features PTI Tropics leaves randomly stamped all over my card front.

I am entering this card at Just Us Girls #376: All Over Stamping, Paper Players #327: black, white and any one color, and CAS on Sunday #99: black and white with one other color.

CASology Week #232: Cut

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is cut.  Our sponsor this week is Stamplorations, and they were kind enough to provide all the DT members with a die to use.  I chose this 'Birthday' die because I loved the font and I always need birthday cards.

I used my Copic markers to color a scrap of cardstock with an ombre pattern, then die cut the word 'birthday' from that scrap.  I stamped some colorful and festive bits of confetti around the sentiment, then impressed the panel with a numbers impression plate before adhering the die cut sentiment.

Now it's your turn.  How does CUT  inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

My Crafty Weekend

I was able to make several cards this weekend for challenges--just for fun.

I am really loving all my new Altenew inks.  The colors are so very pretty.  I am submitting this card at PTI Make it Monday #271: A La Carte--I went back to MIM #245: Color Isolation for this card.  I stamped the main bouquet image from Fresh Bouquet in black, and then filled in all the leaves and flowers with colored stamping.  I filled up the rest of the card front with the image stamped in Soft Stone and left them uncolored.

I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #376:  All Over Stamping and AAA Cards #81:  Hello.

This big bloom from Winnie and Walter gave me ample opportunity to practice my Copic coloring skills.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #204 and am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

I was inspired by the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches #205 for my next card.  I used Lil Inkers Inky Flowers and colored with Copics.

Last of all--another birthday card, this one uses the free mini set PTI sent out in December.

I am entering this card at Simon Says Monday Be Square.

That's it for me today.
